101D- Day與義大利美食
今天堪稱是我的生命史上最重要的ㄧ次戰役。上午我參加了Said Business School的IT Clinic Induction，也就是筆記型電腦的病毒檢測與網路設定，由於SAID School電腦中心每年平均遭受到6000多種病毒的攻擊，所以IT 對於電腦病毒與資料控管相當的嚴謹，學生會被要求簽了病毒協議合約，IT 人員會移除掉原來我電腦內的防毒軟體，灌入Sophos 芬蘭防毒軟體，統一監測控管並且殲滅各類病毒。
九點整，MBA 學生陸續魚貫進入教室，同學們大方的互相認識打招呼，重複的介紹自己的國籍，目前住宿地方，隸屬的學院等等不下十次，雖然是表面的寒暄，不過一回生，兩回熟，總是要有第一次。等到開始灌軟體的時候，才是我真正的挑戰開始。
由於我帶的事Win XP Pro 中文版，SAID Business School提供防毒軟體下載，雖然有考慮到日文，德文，法文與中文等國際學生電腦版本的語言系統因素，不過提供的中文版本卻是給大陸學生用的簡體中文，我的繁體中文系統完全無法相容與簡體中文，IT 人員ㄧ開始就花了將近一個小時的時間，來下載繁體中文軟體系統，嘗試解決我的問題，不過我新買兩個月的電腦開機要達15分鐘，光是在下載程式的過程，就出現當機的現象，等開機又是一個催人白髮的15 分鐘，再加上英國佬壓根根本無法閱讀中文版本的電腦系統，只能靠Window 系統的icon 圖示來猜測可能的英文意義，我在一旁鱉腳協助翻譯成中文，到了將近十二點，還是沒法把防毒程式完全灌入，幾個經驗豐富的IT 人員懷疑是電腦中毒。下午兩點鐘我又提著電腦到IT 服務台尋求協助，IT 人員Chris 則是輕鬆哼歌一邊幫我嘗試抓毒，搞了四個多小時，揪出了特洛依病毒，疾風病毒等一些惡名昭彰的病毒後，我電腦開機終於恢復正常了，我向Chris感謝點頭如搗蒜。
這一天搞下來，我實在快虛脫了。一整天下來我只吃了兩條香蕉，ㄧ杯水，根本也沒時間找吃的，抱著電腦下樓到大廳，這時SAID 商學院大廳正舉辦酒會，我也混在人群中，遇到超級法國帥哥Laurent 跟他的未婚妻Nikie，Laurent 興致沖沖的要找我談新興市場的經濟前景，要不是看在Laurent 鎮定的向服務生要了香檳酒下，我實在是沒有力氣再講話了。
跟Laurent 聊了一下後，天外開始飄下細雨，已經快要七點鐘了，我得趕回家了，今天上午室友 Phong 貼了一張紙條要做義大利餐給我們吃，加快腳步往Castle Mill 方向奔去，總算解決了惱人的電腦病毒問題，終於可以回家好好放鬆了。還沒進入宿舍內，就已經飄來烤雞排跟Pasta 與番茄香，進了廚房，我的室友們Phong,John，Pedro與他女友Joanna 全都在，心裡總算是升起暖暖的幸福。Pedro趕緊在給我ㄧ杯琴酒加Lime 暖胃，廚房收音機音樂流洩輕快音樂，大家晚上ㄧ起享用了幸福的義大利美食，廚房裡溫暖的燈光下，暖暖的幸福，跟外頭濕冷天氣相比下。我知道，未來一年在英國的時光裡，我將不會寂寞。
今天的我，天堂跟地獄我都走過……..
